I had smart lipo done about a year and a half ago on my thighs and upper arms. It did remove a lot of the volume but left my upper arms with bat wings and terrible cellulite. I wore the compression garments religiously and did everything as instructed. Anyway, the result in my upper arms is awful and the surgeon who performed it says any superficial treatment will probably not correct it which I agree with. He suggested an upper arm lift which he doesn’t do. I have heard of an invisible upper arm lift but can’t find a doctor close who does it. I have to get this fixed somehow and any suggestions are greatly appreciated! I live in Spokane WA and would like to have it done here if possible.
I had the best experience. I had been saving for 3 years to have this procedure done. From the moment I walked into the office I m ew this is where I would stay! Dr Johnson and his staff are amazing and I had the best results I could have ever wished for!! Highly recommended!!!!
I have Had several procedures performed with Dr. Johnson. His staff is amazing. Lisa is nothing less than fabulous. Always professional and kind. I drive an hour just to see this amazing doctor. I trust Dr. Johnson and his staff completely. Dr. Johnson has several years of experience and it shows on the results that I have achieved.
I had 2 kybella sessions, but was still unhappy with my neck, chin, and jawline. I interviewed a couple of surgeons, and settled on Dr. Kevin Johnson. I really appreciated his calm demeanor, and the staff were welcoming and kind. Looking forward to being in pictures with my little ones without feeling embarrassed. Updated on 12 Jul 2021: Dr. Kevin Johnson and his staff were incredibly warm and supportive during my treatment. I had smart Lipo on my neck and chin after two treatments with kybella (2 yers ago at a different clinic) did not give me the results I had hoped for. I also had an old domestic violence scar on my cheek treated with the CO2 laser. I am allergic to painkillers, so I had the procedure on only Ambien and two Tylenol, it wasn't bad! Once they get the numbing agent in you really don't feel anything other than the pressure, which was a little scary until I got used to it. The next morning when I came in for my first check up, Dr. Johnson happened to be coming in as well and he took the time to talk to me and look over me himself, which was really nice. I was warned day three would probably have the maximum swelling, though now on day 2 it's minimal. My bruises are already better today than yesterday. I'm only taking Tylenol, Arnica gel, and lots of ice packs.
Dr Johnson is very kind and does a great job been going for dysport for a few years now and love my results Had a vampire facelift once too and can’t wait to do it again now two years later very pleased
I went for a consultation concerning the O shot and whether it could help with vaginal dryness. The consultation was very professional and the procedure was thoroughly explained. I decided to have the O shot and after about a month I realized that the tissues in my vaginal had lost that astringent and rawness feeling I have had for years. Sexually I was becoming lubricated and found having sex was not painful anymore. I understood there would not an immediate result because the tissues need to rejuvenate. I noticed the changes in about 6-8 weeks. Thank you very much for giving me back my sex life. AWESOME results!!!
I know not everyone has the same results, but I told him what I wanted gone and noticed immediate change. His nurse is so helpful and is always checking on me answering any question I have. I am day four and cannot believe the difference already! This man knows what he is doing! He made what would be an uncomfortable experience extremely comfortable! I can only imagine what week three will be! I highly recommend!
Six months ago, I had a full beard of deep-hued hairs: thick, full-faced, and rapid in its growth. Being a woman with a five o' clock shadow that would show after a day of not shaving was a rather embarrassing and negative situation, and I was exhausting many options in an attempt to garner some results. When looking over the testimonials of others who had been in my situation or similar, from both cis and trans women on sites like Susan's Place or Reddit, a number of them defended the merits of laser hair removal, and some dismissed the procedure. I wanted to find out why there was such a harsh schism between varying experiences or opinions. I approached the idea of laser hair removal with what I considered to be a healthy degree of skepticism. I knew that 100% removal of growth is not a realistic outcome, and so I researched the subject quite thoroughly to discover the best options. I was able to reach the conclusion that the equipment listed at Advanced Aesthetics was often cited as a more effective type of method when compared to others on the market. It seemed that the negative criticisms and feedback that were often accredited to hair removal providers were the result of the treatment facilities' misinformation regarding their held technology. There is a large difference between APL (Advanced Pulsated Light) and actual laser technology. Furthermore, lasers themselves have a curve of effectiveness that is dependent on two factors: staff comprehension and skill, and the quality of the laser in question. When digging through forums on Reddit, WebMD articles, and various blogs featuring beauty tips or patient reviews on the subject of hair removal, I was able to discern several useful things about laser hair removal that were commonly written about. They were as follows: 1. Lighter pigment skin (pale or light olive) will generally see better results. 2. Lasers are most effective at targeting darker hairs, between deep brown and black. 3. Hair growth happens in a few cycles, so a single session of removal will not yield very noticeable results. 4. Most laser hair removal businesses will offer consultations and package deals. 5. The more effective laser technology lies within the type of diode or housed lenses/crystal. All of my research indicated that this would be a worthwhile venture for me, and that should I purchase a package deal that I might find moderate, positive results. Advanced Aesthetics met with the metric with which I was judging potential options, and I decided to meet with them for a consultation, wherein I had signed up for a discounted six session package that would be spread over a six month period (one session every four to five weeks). I just finished my sixth session, yesterday. The staff members at Advanced Aesthetics were incredibly helpful and polite, and they did wonderfully in their ability to further articulate and add affirmation to the things I had already come to understand regarding laser hair removal. They were accepting and accommodating, and I was not made to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed about needing to remove the thick, dark hair that I had. Over the six sessions, I have seen tremendous results, nearly completely removing the dark follicle pigment shadows and the deeper colored hairs which comprised a large area on my face. I was estimating that I would see around a 40% reduction by the end, but I am happy to say that it is much closer to over 75%, and the hairs that do linger are of lighter tones. Not only that, but the regrowth has stunted and slowed down due to some of the growth cycles being severely affected by the lasers, meaning I can go longer before needing to shave what little remains. This was an overwhelmingly positive experience, and I feel so much more confident after these six sessions. I can safely say that the laser hair removal offered at Advanced Aesthetics is an experience that is very much worth the potential results. From the amazing staff, the clean and pleasant offices, to their knowledge and ability to deliver great services, they are at the forefront of advanced beauty care. I cannot thank them enough, and I would definitely recommend having a consultation with them if you are curious about improving your own hair removal needs. Thank you, Advanced Aesthetics, Spokane!
I was discouraged with the way my body looked after childbirth and 14 years of trying to lose extra weight with no results. The stubborn fat would not come off my stomach no matter what exercise or diet methods I used. Clothes that I once loved were not fitting right anymore. I decided to seek help at Dr. Johnson's office and I scheduled a Smart Lipo procedure for my abdomen and flanks. The procedure was quick and had minimal down time afterwards so I could get back to my regular activities. The results were fabulous! At my 4 month post procedure appointment, I had lost several inches and pounds. I could once again fit into my clothes that I once loved and felt like I could wear a swimming suit without feeling self conscious. Overall I was very happy with this procedure and would highly recommend it to anyone that is in the same situation as I was.
The staff was very professional and I couldn't have asked for better results! I'm super happy. I originally went in for coolsculpting, and decided to go with smartlipo instead. I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson he definitely won't steer you in the wrong direction.
Hi Oldbunny- You are not alone. Many patients want to avoid a tummy tuck for a variety of reasons. Pain, recovery time, drains and scarring are the top 4. Some patients clearly need a tummy tuck. You are not one of them. You have good skin quality and very little overhang of the lower abdominal skin and fat. You would be an excellent candidate for Smartlipo. Laser assisted liposuction would remove the fat and help tighten the skin and underlying fibrous connections between the skin and muscle. You have mild scoliosis which makes one flank look a little larger than the other, which could be evened out a little with liposuction as well. I would not recommend the non-invasive devices in your case for best results, but they are an option if you are not interested in liposuction. Best wishes, -KJ
Thanks for your question. As long as the filler and beauty mark tattoo and filler are not in same place, it shouldn't be a problem. If you were to do lip liner tattoos, I would caution you to separate a filler treatment appointment at least a month before or after the tattoo appointment. -KJ
Heather- Based on these photos, my current favorite treatment for your jawline and neck is still Smartlipo. On cases like yours, I sometimes will perform this with a single 2mm incision under the chin. The procedure is done awake using tumescent local anesthesia, takes about 30 minutes and the recovery has very little swelling or pain. My patients wear a compression garment under the chin for 72 hours. There are other non-invasive options, but I have not found any procedure, to date, for this area that equals the cosmetic result and minimal downtime of Smartlipo.
I would recommend getting the dental work first. A filler is a foreign substance that remains in your body for several months. Although infections involving fillers are exceedingly low, they can occur. Another phenomenon is the formation of a biofilm around the filler which can be attributed to bacterial colonization of fibrous tissue encapsulating any foreign body including HA fillers. Normally there are no issues with fillers in a healthy patient. But, if the patient has an active infection or has a brief increase in bacterial circulation then the risk of the above complications rise. Dental surgical procedures shower oral bacterial into the bloodstream during the procedure and while the gums are healing. So, if new filler with a little blood around it gets showered with a load of oral bacteria from your wisdom teeth extraction the risk of infection and biofilm increases. It's a fairly low percentage, but not worth taking the risk for a cosmetic procedure. Getting the dental work done first and allowing it to heal completely and then getting fillers in your lips is the safest route. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Thanks for your question and providing the photo. Botox for young people to "prevent" wrinkles or to age slower is not a great indication for this medication in my opinion. I only use neuromodulators if I am trying to make a change or improvement. If active wrinkles exist that I can improve with Botox, then I feel it is indicated. Brow lifting can be accomplished with Botox. The height of the brow can be manipulated because the brow is suspended by 2 opposing muscle groups in a tug-o-war. One pulls the brow up, the other pulls it down. If you make the muscles that pull it down a little weaker, then the result is a brow lift by the stronger muscle group. Juvederm can also work nicely if volume has been lost in the area, but it is usually reserved for much older patients who need volume. I would not recommend Juvederm based on your photos. Best of luck to you.
