Why is Botox all of a sudden way more expensive in Las Vegas, while surrounding cities have not?

Cosmetic Botox application cost depends on multiple factors. One of the most influential factors is the geographic location where the Botox doctor is located. For example Botox treatment is way more expensive in New York City when compared with New Jersey ( just across the river). The reason is because cost of the real state rent, city and state taxes, demand ( market) etc. have to be built in in the total cost of application.Many patients choose their Botox doctors solely based on price. This approach is usually associated with botched results (..."you get what you paid'). A good botox doctor will not administer Botox for a cheap price. Patients interested in natural Botox application results should look for a Board Certified doctor in one of the core specialties ( e.g. plastic surgeons, dermatologist, etc) that is specialist in Botox application and thus deliver natural Botox results.

Nevada has passed a single use law.They have to pay for 50 units minimum for each patient.If you only get 20 units for your frown, the doc has to pay Allergan for use of a 50 u vialIt state law and not the doctors discretion.California and other states do not have this law

I would suggest seeing a reputable dermatologist or plastic surgeon who does a lot of injectables.  When you pay for Botox, you pay for the cost of the product (which is about $6 per unit) plus the skill and experience of your doctor.  If you are not happy with your current injector, it is easy enough to find another injector.  I would think that the price for Botox is significantly less in Las Vegas than in LA.  However, if you focus solely on price, you may not get the best results.  Regards,Dr. Ort

It is worth the extra expense to have Botox performed well by an experienced physician, thus avoiding the "botched jobs".
