5'6"/pre-op 170lbs which was 10lbs heavier than when I booked b/c I had to stop all meds & 1 caused me to gain 10lbs in a month w/o it. Lost 160lbs in the past & 70lbs after 2 kids. Started with cardio at 8 weeks PO, added some light weights 3 weeks ago (kettlebells) I track cals/macros & have been for 5 weeks. I have GAINED almost 10 more lbs? I'm noticeably swollen but not 10lbs swollen? I wear a compression garment while working out. I'm finding it more difficult after my surgery to lose.

Answer: Mommy Makeover Recovery roxie981I appreciate your concern, however it can take as long as six months for a little swelling to resolve. In the meantime, I recommend following up with your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. Good luck.

Answer: 16 weeks post op mommy makeover. Difficult time losing weight. Is it water retention? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and congratulations on your mommy makeover. Most likely what you are experiencing is continued soft tissue swelling and water retention. With an increase in activity level your body will have a tendency of holding on to water as it continues to heal. I would maintain close follow up with your surgeon but continue to use a compression garment throughout the day to help minimize the excess fluid your body is holding on to. With additional time you should see continued, steady improvement in weight loss.
