Mommy makeover 14 weeks post op. Do I need a revision? (photos)

Overall, you look pretty great result.  Tough case with heavy breasts and most likely some preexisting asymmetry.  I am more concerned about your scaring around the areola.  That will not improve much and would be great to revise it at some point.

Hello. Great question. Congratulations on your procedure. It can take up to six months to see your final results. I will suggest waiting a few more weeks before considering a revision. Keep following your surgeon's post op instructions.

roxie981.  I appreciate your concern, but overall your early result is quite good. It is amazing that you were able to lose so much weight, and you should be proud. However, patients such as yourself usually have significant loss of elasticity of the skin, and sometimes revision after surgery is needed. I recommend that you allow a full six months to pass before considering revision, and in your case it would be fairly minor.  Try to stay patient and positive and follow up with your plastic surgeon. At 14 weeks your breasts have not settled into their final position yet. Wait 6 months for your original surgery to heal and see the final results before considering a revision. Follow your surgeon's post operative instructions. Good luck.

You are still early on healing process. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, it is normal and can happen for the 6 months, until your implants have dropped and settle in. 
If the situation doesn't improve over time, i suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question. At 14 weeks post op, your implants are still settling. Give it about 6 months for your implants to drop and your body time to heal prior to considering a revision. Speak to your board certified plastic surgeon to address your concerns.  Good luck! 

You are definitely higher on the L than the R.  Most likely this is just a difference in the rate of the implant dropping into its final location.  If you like the appearance of the L side it may change over time and drop into place.  You should follow up with your surgeon and discuss their postoperative massage and garment protocol.  Good Luck!

Roxie,I can understand your concerns and there are some asymmetries.  You are still early in the post op healing phase and usually nothing would be considered or performed (regarding a revision) for another 2.5 months.  Wait for the 6 month follow up and then discuss options with your surgeon.  It is not uncommon for someone who lost as much weight as you have (congratulations by the way) to have looseness of the skin and excess breast descent.  Best of luck.Dr T
