Hi I got a small amount of filler to marionettes/side of mouth area 5 months ago was very pleased and no issues. A few weeks ago I noticed a vague white looking scar on side of chin. It wasn't there before . It is not sore or raised but visible . When I pucker mouth and chin it raises up in a line. What could this be ?

Answer: White looking scar 5 months after marionette filler. What could this be? There are several potential reasons why you might be experiencing a white-looking scar five months after marionette filler. It's important to consult with a skilled healthcare professional for an accurate assessment. Some possibilities include:1. Scar Tissue Formation: The body may have formed scar tissue as a natural part of the healing process after the filler injection.2. Inflammatory Response: Filler injections can sometimes trigger an inflammatory response, leading to changes in the skin's appearance. This might include redness, swelling, or the formation of scar tissue.3. Hypopigmentation: The injected area may have experienced a loss of pigmentation, leading to a lighter or white appearance.4. Infection or Complication: In rare cases, complications such as infection or other issues may arise after filler injections, leading to changes in the skin's appearance.5. Fibrosis: The development of fibrous tissue in response to the filler could potentially cause changes in the skin's color or texture. It's important to determine the exact cause of the white-looking scar. A visit to the injector of the filler or other specialist may perform a physical examination, and in some cases, imaging studies may be necessary. They can provide appropriate guidance on potential treatments or interventions based on the specific diagnosis. If you're concerned about the appearance of the scar, don't hesitate to reach out.

Answer: Filler It is hard to tell with these photos. Have a follow up appointment with your injector and see if there is a little filler in that area or another issue. Best of luck!
