I've always had extra folds on my eyelids. My dad does too so it must be genetic. It's never bothered my until I've gotten older (I'm 36) and the skin is saggier. They're not really hooded eyelids, but I worry it ages me. Would I be a good candidate for upper blephoplasty? Would it make my eyes more youthful?
Answer: Upper and lower blepharoplasty Yes, you would benefit from an upper blepharoplasty. You may also want to consider a lower blepharoplasty at the same time. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Upper eyelid surgery You would be a good candidate for upper eyelid surgery. You have mild ptosis (drooping of the upper lids), a small amount of excess skin, and hollowing of the superior sulcus. Upper eyelid surgery could help make your eyes appear more youthful and alert. Best to see an eyelid expert to discuss potential options to meet your goals.

Answer: Skin only upper blepharoplasty. A skin only upper blepharoplasty, under local anesthesia only, would remove your redundant upper eyelid skin (determined by a simple pinch test) and smooth your upper eyelids. When measuring the skin of the upper eyelid, the incision should positioned approximately 9 mm above your eyelashes at mid pupil and taper along your natural eyelid crease to each side. Best wishes.

Answer: Eyes You could consider an upper bleph but I would make sure that your surgeon does not overdo it since you already have hollow eyes, so you don't want to get any more fat removed (if anything you could also consider fat grafting to the upper eyelid) and you don't want so much skin removed that you can't close your eye as well.

Answer: Blepharoplasty Thank you for posting your question here,My answer will be based on the limited information and pictures provided , for a more detailed and bespoke plan please consult with your plastic surgeon in person. It does appear from your pictures that you have some laxity in the skin of your eyelids. A blepharoplasty procedure will help address that. You also seem to have some hollowing around your eyes , your surgeon might also recommend some fat grafting under the same setting.I hope this helps, Best of luck!
