Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
There are 2 non surgical recommendations to treat banding post liposuction. The first one is purchase a jade roller, heating pad and do nightly aggressive massage, this will soften the area and blend. The second is to consider botox for stubborn bands. A third surgical option (if the other 2 don't work) is a platysmaplasty where the muscle and scar tissue are freed from the overlying skin and sutured back into position. I bet one of the first 2 options works.
By removing excessive amounts of fat in the chin and neck region, it exposed your platysma muscle. When the platysma muscle contracts it can form bands. These are called platysmal bands, and tend to be more prominent with age. It’s uncertain if you’re extending your neck, but doing so will probably activate contraction of the platysma muscle. I’ve also seen people develop firm cord like scar tissue structures that slowly improve over 6 to 12 months. It looks like your surgeon was a little heavy handed with fat removal. Liposuction is a permanent and irreversible procedure. Sometimes fat can be brought back in the area with fat grafting but the procedure is technically difficult when done to correct overly aggressive Liposuction. There is no easy fix for what you have. Regular platysmal bands are sometimes treated with Botox but that’s a little different than when the entire platysma muscle is exposed from overly aggressive liposuction. No straightforward, easy solution.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD
Hello, I would recommend a new liposuction with the use of technology to contract the skin and improve those wrinkles on the skin.
Facelifting and skin resection is a reliable way to correct jowling. That being said, patients in their 20s rarely seek such aggresive intervention and are often candidates for improvement with less invasive options aggressive skin care and fillers. Make an appointment with a certified plastic...
Properly injected along the jawline and upper neck regions, Botox can help to achieve a nonsurgical necklift, and tighten the upper neck decreasing the appearance of the indent that disturbs you. I have been using this approach for many years for upper neck laxity issues with gratifying results....
What you are seeing is the result of excessive resection of midline fat and inadequate treatment of the entire neck including the superficial/deep fat and deeper neck structures including the muscle. I would recommend an open submental incision neck lift to repair this problem. I recommend...
