Hello, doctors! Thank you for taking the time to read my question. I would love advice on what I can do to improve the appearance of my lower face. I am still in my 20s but have jowling and loose skin due to major weight loss. I really dislike the shape of my lower face and would like a tighter jawline. I know a neck lift is an option but I'm unsure of other options. Do you think chin/jowl and neck lipo would be an option? Facial fat grafting to put more volume in my face overall? Thanks!
Answer: Perhaps a chin implant. Based on your front photo views, you appear to have a somewhat short chin appearance, and this is associated with skin dimpling. Profile photo does not adequately show your chin. Chin implant surgery is helpful for achieving extra length of the lower 1/3 of the face on front view, along with chin projection on profile, and also for minimizing dimpling of chin skin. I hope this helps, and thank you for this question. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Some options Based on the provided photos which unfortunately do not show the entire face or show a good lateral of the neck and submental region, you would likely be an excellent candidate for volume augmentation of the chin, chin crease and pre jowl sulcus to camouflage the early jowling. This is most easily achieved non surgically with the use of hyaluronic acid fillers with excellent, safe and long lasting results. Alternatively there are a number of less invasive surgical options to be considered but this would require more in depth analysis in person to determine suitable candidates. This might include necktite or accutite treatment of the jowls, jawline and submental neck in combination with morpheus 8 treatments. Lots of great options!

Answer: Non-Surgical Treatments Looking at your photos, I think you could benefit from non-surgical skin-tightening treatments like radiofrequency. One of my favourite treatments that isn't painful, feels relaxing and also gives you a great result would be Accent Prime. At this stage, I do not think Chin Liposuction would be a good option for you because you already have visible definition. If you'd like a more rounder jawline Micrografting can definitely help create this shape, and additionally Dermal Fillers can too so it depends on whether you want to go down a surgical or non-surgical avenue. Hope this helps!

Answer: Lower face options Thank you for submitting your questions and photos. Congrats on the weight loss! Unfortunately with weight loss, sometimes patients experiencing some “deflational” changes in the face. There are several options that can improve this. I would opt to hold off on a necklift at this time due to your age. Some less invasive options would be Morpheus or Ultherapy to tighten the skin in this area, Eurothreads, chin/jawline filler and/or a genioplasty, and fat grafting or filler to the mid and upper face to help elevate the lower face tissue. I highly recommend you seek consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over your options in more detail. Good luck and thanks again for reaching out!

Answer: I recommend PLA (Lanluma or Sculptra) Hello,For loose skin on the cheeks, I recommend PLA (Lanluma or Sculptra). To define the jawline and chin tip, I suggest using a dermal filler with high lifting properties, applied close to the bone in the dermal tissue.
