in case of removal of ruptured implants it is important to remove the capsules and implant completely. The pocket can then be flushed, suctioned and closed. En bloc surgery is for cancer surgery ONLY, not for removing implants and capsules. If your gel implants are younger than 2006, then an open incision is needed, since the gel is not liquid. If your gel implants are older, especially before 1992, you have the old gel which needs the capsule and gel implants removed through an incision. Either way, an incision is needed for removal.
