Had breast augmentation 375cc 3 months ago with periareolar incision. Do my incisions look ok? Will they heal nice and flat not red? Or should I be concerned? Any advice helpful
Answer: The Healing of Periareolar Incisions #Healing will continue for 2-3 months for the early period. This includes some swelling, bruising, malposition, color differences. Sensation may also be abnormal and scars will be evolve.#Scar maturation products such as BioCorneum or Embrace, to name a few, may be helpful. Speak to your surgeon about any healing concerns and if the use of scar management products, or, laser treatment would be best for you.

Answer: Are my periareolar incisions healing ok? At 3 months your incisions look acceptable. I would follow with your surgeon over the next year. Ideally they are barely visible when fully mature. If there is a visible line, sometimes revision can give further improvement. For now they look fine, but continue to follow with your surgeon. They almost certainly will improve.

Answer: Swelling 3 months after BA, some advices: Thanks for the question. In my practice, after performing a BA I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant out of position, and allow the formation of the physiological capsule around the implant, also to avoid pain and breast swelling.Kind regards Dr. Emmanuel Mallol.-

Answer: periareolar incisions Your incisions appear to be healing well. Firmness and redness tend to slowly resolve over the first year to year and a half. In the meantime, silicone sticker/scar pad therapycan be very helpful and speed the resolution and improve the final scar appearance. The most important thing is to follow up closely with your plastic surgeon so they can monitor your progress and anterior questions directly.Best of luck!Dr. SubbioBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonNewtown Square/Philadelphia, PA
