My doctor took of the tape and there was a blister on my incision he told me to just put peroxide to let it dry out , the following week I went back and there is now a thick scab He told me to peel it off But I've been doing a lot of reading and I heard it not good to peel off scabs and I should leave it alone and let it fall off by itself Please help, I really don't want to just peel it off it sounds so painful and I don't want a thick scar Can someone please let me know what is best to do?

Answer: Thick scab on breast You are experiencing some delayed wound healing after your breast augmentation. It is best to have your plastic surgeon evaluate you as soon as possible. You should not have to remove the scab on your own. If this is necessary during your examination, your surgeon can perform the task for you in a sterile and more comfortable manner as well as give you additional wound care instructions to maximize your healing and resulting scar. Scars that are unacceptable can be revised at a later time although it may take several months to a year to see the final result.

Answer: Delayed wound healing From your photo it looks like you're having some delayed wound healing. I would recommend having close follow up with your surgeon to carry you through this process until you're fully healed. At that point you may be a candidate for scar and revision.
