The results from ultherapy are not evident for many months. I often combine this treatment with fractional laser or RF and microneedling to get more impact onto collagen production and to help superficial wrinkling/crepe skin. Also adding sculptra to the mix helps influence skin lifting and tightening. I tell people that a combination gives much better results than any single treatment and I suggest finding a physician who is an expert in all of these cosmetic options. Best, Dr. Emer.
The goal with Ultherapy is to firm the skin, lift and tighten, and decrease wrinkles. It works best for the areas of the lower face, along the jawline, and the neck. It can also work to lift eyebrows and is now being used for the chest area, and even off of the chest on the rest of the body. Results are not visible until about 2-3 months after the treatment. It is normal to have some tenderness, a bruise like feeling, and nerve tingling after the procedure. There may be mild swelling and redness and you can get a true bruise (usually about 10% of patients may bruise). Ultherapy is very "user dependent". This means that you really need your technician to have a lot of experience, and to care about the outcome for the individual patient. If the technician is under-experienced or simply doing the procedure without really trying to get great results, you may not achieve the outcome that you are looking for. Using the 3.0mm transducer should lead to some tightening for you.
