Radiesse is a marvelous calcium based filler that; when used artistically, contours, lifts and sculpts the mid-face. Each face has different characteristics of bone structure, amount of fat and degree of loose skin. The greater the loss of muscle, bone and fat volume the more product is needed. However, the loss of the facial tissues is ongoing. Generally, Radiesse lasts between 9-10 months in most faces, when the face is 3/4 filled. Under or over filling leaves the face with less than an ideal contour. Although, If under-filled, the contour improvement lasts a shorter time. The calcium in Radiesse is replaced with your own natural collagen. Collagen is what supports the facial contour and is targeted by the body during the aging process. Thus, more collagen, theoretically in the tissues, will slow down the aging process. Likewise, the skin is held in a better position and the face demonstrates a significantly better shape when optimal filling of the face is established. Alternatively, a product that is very long lasting is not always so great, as the face continues to age and change over time. If the product stays for a very long time and the face alters around it there is a lack of harmony. Hence, one must keep up with the ongoing alterations that the body is producing. Radiesse is ideal for the upkeep and for the rejuvenation and contouring of the face.
Thank you for the great question. Radiesse is a unique filler in that it is composed of both a carrier gel and the calcium hydroxylapatite which is a compound found in human bones. Radiesse stimulates the body to produce collagen and hyaluronic acid, which makes the cheeks, temples and other facial contours appear fuller. Results can last up to 18 months in my experience - this depends on how the individual patient responds to the product. As always, an in-person consultation with a board certified dermatologist with cosmetic training is the best way to assess your needs and provide medical advice.
How well and how long a Radiesse treatment lasts isdependent on a number of factors.. On average, the treatment can producenoticeable results for about one year. It is important to note that this figurecan range, however, depending on the patient’s upkeep, environment, andgenetics. After this time, the patient may consider additional treatments tomaintain the favorable results.
Thank you for your question. Radiesse is a unique filler in that it is composed of both a carrier gel and the calcium hydroxylapatite. The carrier gel tends to dissipate within 2-3 months. However, during this time, the product is continually stimulating collagen synthesis which gives a more durable effect. The duration of effect is dependent on how much product is used and where it is applied. One to 1.5 years duration is a common range in typical applications. Five years is unlikely. Hope that helps!
I am one of the largest users of Radiesse in the country and have been using it since doing clinical trials in 2006-2007. It lasts a significant amount of time if used properly and I often combine it with Sculptra to get even more collagen production. I suggest seeing an expert for the best results. Dr. Emer.
The results of Radiesse last about 12 months or less. The collagen that results can last longer. I've seen improvement in the back of the hand at up to three years following Radiesse treatment. In the face, though, the results last about one year. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon
I use a lot of Radiesse in my practice and normally it lasts between 9 and 12 months. I have never seen or heard of any filler that lasts for 5 years.
In my practice I see the average lifespan of Radiesse is between 12 & 18 months, and largely depends on your metabolism and lifestyle.
Thanks for your question! Radiesse can last 15-18 months, but this can vary per patient. Be sure to find a certified injector and/or board certified plastic surgeon.
How long any filler lasts depends on many factors, including how quickly the patient metabolizes the filler and where it is placed. In some patients, fillers don't seem to last as long, while in others the same filler lasts much longer. Any filler injected around the mouth will not last as long because this area moves so much. I use Radiesse mostly in the upper face for cheek enhancement. In this area, it is injected in a deep plane where there is less movement and the results typically last a year or more.
Thank you for your question. Radiesse is a unique filler in that it is composed of both a carrier gel and the calcium hydroxylapatite. The aqueous gel carrier has some hygroscopic (water attracting) properties, but this tends to dissipate within the first few months. The calcium...
The companies strictly state that Voluma and Radiesse are one use and one patient syringes. USING FOR MULTIPLE PATIENTS HAS EXPOSURE FOR INFECTION AND IS A VERY BAD IDEA. MY BEST, DR COMMONS
Radiesse is a stimulatory filler that is an excellent option for patients who desire a longer-lasting filler alternative to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. In our office, we use Radiesse to complement structural areas of the face and contour bony prominences. Our office also is a center of...
