I've been getting radiesse on my jaw for a few months now but I would like to switch to Voluma due to longer lasting effects. I just got radiesse on my jaw a couple weeks ago would it be safe to get voluma or would it look unnatural

Answer: Voluma After Radiesse I find that radiesse plus works much better than voluma long term on the jaw especially if you do a little sculptra under. The combinations are safe if done by an expert. I suggest seeing someone with experience in combination fillers. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Voluma after Radiesse Hi Poizon. It's no problem getting Voluma after Radiesse and this is a good option given that you were underwhelmed by the Radiesse. The concern we have with the plan is that the Voluma is usually about 50% more expensive and it will not last longer. The initial FDA approval for Voluma that received an indication of 2 years duration used an AVERAGE of 6.5 CC's of Juvederm per patient. The reason the 2 year indication was given was that a small % of patients could still feel or see the effects of the product two years after injections. We have never injected 6.5 CC's of product into a patient at one visit, but we are certain that if we used 4 vials of Radiesse in the cheeks (where Voluma is FDA approved for) that it would last 2 years. The more product, the greater the duration. In today's Voluma dollars, this would mean spending somewhere between $4,000 and $6,500 on Voluma depending on how your injector prices it. Voluma is a great product, but it will not last 2 years unless you use a large amount of product.
