In contradistinction to other responders, that “turkey neck” can be completely gone forever without face & neck lift. A T-Z neckplasty operation under local anesthesia with minimal risk and minimal down time (a day or two) is the alternative. The procedure was pioneered by Drs Biggs and Gradinger, the latter from San Francisco. Several examples in our “neck” gallery.
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon because you may be a candidate for the laser-assisted weekend necklift, which marries liposculpture, neck lifting and laser resurfacing to create a more youthful appearance in a recovery period as short as a weekend.Best wishes,
A platysmaplasty (neck tuck under the chin) does so well for men and can be done under local. They turn out so great and are easy to undergo for $6500. Your neck is begging for it. Don't deprive it.
The optimal treatment for this aspect of aging is a lower face/neck lift. Appearance would also be benefited by augmentation of the mid face, under the eyes, with fat.Although many people hope a minimal procedure, and just on the neck will solve the problem, the amount of excess skin makes that impossible. There are compromise options such as a non-surgical skin tightening procedure with ThermiTight or Precision laser skin tightening, but these will not give anywhere as good a result as a surgical lower face/necklift
Thank you for your picture and questions. The classic answer would be a necklift, which would be a good option for you. However, with males, another option is to do a direct necklift with excision of the skin over the area. The procedure is shorter with faster recovery, but the downside is a Z-shaped scar under the neck which can be concealed with facial hair. See a local board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and get some better ideas on pricing.Good luck!
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a neck lift. If good technique is used, this can be done with minimal scarring and can result in a natural look, not over-done look, with rejuvenation of your face/neck. Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise. I advise patients that they can return to work 10-14 days after surgery. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

A full facelift is needed to give the best results. Other smaller procedures should be considered with pros and cons to enhance the results. these could include lower eyelid surgery for bags, cheeklift for considerable sagging etc. See several very experienced facelift surgeons who can show you natural results. Cost will depend on what is selected.
To get maximal correction, you would need a facelift/necklift. The laxity in the tissues of your neck would be improved by lateral lifting and tightening of your platysma muscle and contouring any fat deposits in the area. The platysma muscle would also need to be tightened under your chin. Once the deeper structures of your neck have been re-contoured, your skin can be re-draped over this new contour for an improved neck and facial shape. This can be done under either local anesthesia with sedation or IV sedation plus local, your choice. You likely will need some labs before surgery to confirm your good health. Find a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed consultation. Price varies depending on the doctor and location. Recovery is approximately 7-10 days. Best wishes.
Men with a turkey neck often choose a direct neck excision as an alternative to face/neck lift. The advantages are a faster healing and shorter down time (usually about a week for social activities), lower cost (surgeons prices vary dramatically by region but are typically quoted over the phone), terrific longevity and very high patient satisfaction.
Sorry to hear about your issue. I would continue basic scar care - silicone creams, sunblocks, etc - and find a facelift surgeon that you trust. They may recommend a trial of laser treatments for scar redness or for resurfacing of any textural irregularities as well. Scar revision may be an ...
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon because you seem to be an ideal candidate for non-surgical procedures to contour your jawline and create a more youthful appearance to your neck. Best wishes,
"Injecting soft fillers like Belotero in this area can reduce lines, wrinkles and folds as well as improve skin texture with long-term collagen production. Fillers are being used more frequently to contour and lift rather than solely line fill. Of course, fillers are best used in combination...
