Going in for CoolSculpting on my double chin. I'm 22 yrs old and 120 pounds. the nurse told me what I have is a pocket of fat from genetics. Not sure what to expect out of this procedure- recovery wise. Is it a bad idea to do it the first week of December if I have plans the following weekend? I don't want to look noticeably swollen/worse. I can handle bruising but of course I don't want to be noticeably bigger in an area I'm already self conscious about. I am just eager to get it done!
Answer: Recovery From CoolMini? CoolMini Rarely Causes Swelling Starting to eliminate your double chin with CoolMini is a great self-gift for the holidays! CoolMini is completely noninvasive and rarely causes any side effects other than a little pinkness or slight swelling for the first few days after treatment. Although every individual varies, chances are you’ll be just fine by the next weekend. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist who’s been certified by Zeltiq is essential for the best results.

Answer: Plans after CoolSculpting The great thing about Coolsculpting is that there really is no down time! I personally had Coolsculpting and I literally went back to work in minutes! There may be some bruising or swelling but that typically lasts only a few days when it does happen. You should be just fine. Enjoy your plans! Here is some more info.

Answer: CoolMini treatment of submental fat CoolSculpting is a great option for eliminating excess submental fat. The treatment protocol is determined by the location and amount of fatty tissue in the area. Typical post-treatment symptoms do include swelling and the possibility of bruising; however, most swelling is most noticeable to you and usually subsides by 48-72 hours post treatment. This being said, our CoolSculpting specialists suggest not doing a treatment if you have an event or special occasion to celebrate within the following couple of days of treatment to be on the safe side. Best wishes!

Answer: You should be good to go It will definitely help to talk to your certified provider, but in our experience, there is usually very little swelling with the cool mini in the neck area. We usually tell patients they can continue their normal activities within 24 hours. There is less swelling in the neck with Coolsculpting as opposed to Kybella.

Answer: CoolSculpting Recovery There is no recovery or downtime with the Coolsculpting procedure. For the double chin area, there is a small risk of bruising which can be covered up with make up should it occur. Swelling is minimal and usually resolves in a few days. There will be numbness for 1-2 weeks, but it should not be uncomfortable. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician provider. Best wishes.

Answer: Coolsculpting Results--Add Radiofrequency, Thermage, Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, VASER, ThermiRF Healing can be variable, but there is no downtime with Coolsculpting. Keep in mind, it can take 3-6 months for final results with Coolsculpting. Also, for best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative. Best, Dr. Emer
