QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Is radiesse used on lips?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi, Radiesse is not indicated for lip augmentation. It is better for deeper areas such as the cheek. Beletero or a Juevederm can be safely used around the lips for great results.

Does massaging your treatment area daily help CoolScuplting results?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi. Massaging the area for days after coolsculpting does definitely does not hurt anything, however there are no studies showing that it will improve the results. However,  the massage immediately following the procedure has been proven to improve results and is very important.

Do older patients (I am 67) need to be concerned about the body not properly disposing of the dead fat cells.

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Given your age, coolsculpting is a great option for you since it is non-surgical.  You body will still be able to clear the fat cells.  There is a safety mechanism on the machine- it will shut off if it detects the cooling coming into direct contact with the skin. Good luck!

Is a year too long to wait for a second CoolMini chin fat reduction treatment?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You can definitely return for your second session. Keep in mind you can also get more than two sessions in the same area if needed. Best of luck!

I got Xeomin 12 days ago, but I can still make the 11's and I look like a witch when I raise my eyebrows. What to do?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It does sound like you need a touch up for the "11" and some added above the eyebrow to help with the crease.  Some physicians will do free touch-ups if you originally get the recommended dose.

Radiesse aftercare skincare: how long should I wait after to go back to my normal skincare regimen?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

There is no downtime to return to that particular skin care regimen, however you do want to avoid excessive stimulation or rubbing of the treated areas the day of the procedure.

What is the recovery like? Is it a bad idea to do it the first week of December if I have plans the following weekend?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Coolsculpting can give great results under the chin. You should be fine to keep any plans you have, even if you have some the same day of treatment. There is normally not noticeable swelling to the area.

What would be the best method to remove my double chin?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Thanks for the question. The cool mini can be very effective under the chin and you may get great results from it. However, it does not appear that you have an abundance of extra tissue to be treated. Therefore you might also  want to consider Kybella. Kybella destroys the fat cells and is a series of 3 treatments spaced one month apart, with maximum results seen three months after the last treatment. Again, coolsculpting is also a great option for people with enough tissue in the area. However you would want to get an in person consult to ensure it would work for you.

Should I do Microdermabrasion or Microneedling for acne scars and pigmentation?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Great question!  Microneedling and microdermabrasion can be combined and done in the same visit for maximum results!  By doing microdermabrasion prior to numbing the skin you can get better absorption of the numbing agent and achieve the best result needling on freshly exfoliated skin.

However, if you are only able to do one treatment I would advise the microneedling.  Microneedling encourages the skin to make new collagen that will help to even out your texture issues while erasing hyperpigmentation.

Microdermabrasion is a great treatment for exfoliation and circulation but when dealing with issues of scarring and hyperpigmentation.  I also recommend using a retin-A and Hydroquinone in your home care regimen to create the healthiest environment for cellular regeneration.

What is causing this stinging pain 5 days after treatment?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Thanks for the question. It is not uncommon to have nerve pain and a "stinging" sensation after coolsculpting, especially with the older applicators. This can last for several weeks. I have also not had anyone have this pain with the new applicators. If the pain is severe, Neurontin which is a prescription medication, can be prescribed by the  physician where you had the coolsculpting done at.
