36, mother of 3, had a c-section in 2005. Now the scar tissue of the incision has caused my stomach to have a mushroom shape pushed over the incision. I don't want to get a tummy tuck or liposuction just want to have this pushed gone.
Answer: C section bulge When the skin overhangs a c section scar I find the solution is a scar revision if they are otherwise satisfied with the appearance of the abdomen. There is a layer of fascia under the skin in the central abdomen that is often not repaired at the time of a c-section and results in a depression at that scar. Cool sculpting may help reduce the fat above the scar but won’t treat the fundamental cause of the problem.

Answer: Coolsculpting and scar tissue CoolSculpting is only intended to treat subcutaneous fat. When your body produces scar tissue after a surgery , it is mostly made up of collagen fibers, which Coolsculpt can not freeze away. Your best bet would be consulting with a licensed professional about a scar revision procedure.

Answer: CoolSculpting may reduce fat in the abdomen after C-section if there is fat in the skin above the abdominal muscle wall then shrinkage of that volume can help flatten the bulge. If it is just skin that has folded, there actually may be some skin tightening from coolsculpting but not enough to imagine a result similar to a tummy tuck. If there is fat in the layer below the skin and above the muscle wall in the upper abdomen it would be worth having a few treatments in the upper abdomen to reduce the weightiness pushing down on the skin which is folding over the C-section scar, along with treating fat in that skin immediately over the scar.

Answer: CoolSculpting for C-Section Over Hangs It is very common to develop an "Over-Hang" of excess skin, or skin and fat after a C-Section. From your photos, it appears that you have at least a bit of excess skin (+/- fat). Unfortunately, I don't think that a non-invasive device is going to solve your concern. I recommend consulting with an MD that has experience in/access to all tummy rejuvenation options. This includes everything from CoolSculpting, to Liposuction, to tummy tucks. You do not want to settle on a consult with someone who can't offer all options. As we know, if the only option they have is CoolSculpting, the doctor or consultant will be tempted to say yes - when CoolSculpting might not be the right answer. CoolSculpting is a actually a super-neat way of reducing fatty tissue. The best thing about it: IT WORKS. You just need to be sure to go to a practice where the doctor is a body contouring expert!!!

Answer: CoolSculpting Treatment Hello,Thank you for your question and picture. Based on what can be seen you may be able to treat the area with CoolSculpting, however it will take more than one session. Please consult with a local provider in person so that they can determine the best course of action. Good luck!
