Is there a way to change a button nose into a straight, sharp one? (photos)

I've always been really self-conscious of my nose. It's round and small and kind of pig-like, and it looks like it belongs on someone 12 years younger than I am. I'm 18 but I always get mistaken for a 13 year old, and I feel like my nose really contributes to my baby face. Is there a way to make it straight and sharp, or at least more adult-like than it is?

Dear praguedoctorYou are correct that a rhinoplasty can re-shape your nose to a more masculine nose and give you a more "strong" looking nose. This can be done via cartilage grafts from your septum and if needed from your ear. Your tip would be reshaped to give it a little more height and projection. This can be done consistently and with long lasting results. Look for experienced and well trained surgeon certified by the AMerican Board of Plastic (or Facial). See more than one consult and make a well informed decsion .

Rhinoplasty to convert a child like nose into a adult male nose. This should be done by a very experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeon since these are the same techniques we use on noses like yours. Look at the surgeons work on lengthening and augmenting revisions and do NOT rely on imaging.

Hello Prague Doctor,Thanks for submitting pictures.  Your short nose with low-lying dorsum can be made more masculine.  It does appear you would need a dorsal graft with tip refine and possibly a caudal extension graft and spreader grafts.  I know this is technical, but find an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon whom you trust.  Good luck!

a rhinoplasty procedure can address making changes to the nose such as building up the bridge with cartilage grafts  harvested from inside the nose. The tip can also be narrowed with suture techniques and the bridge line narrowing with osteotomies.

Yes, a rhinoplasty can address the height of your nasal bridge, the height and length of your nasal tip, and the width of your nose at the nostril level.  Cartilage from your septum may need to be used to accomplish some of these changes. excellent procedure for you given your goals.The tip can be reduced by making the cartilage in the area smaller.The tip can also be extended a little with a
cartilage graft from your septum.I all
likelihood the same material would be needed to build up your dorsum as
well.In any event, an augmentation
rhinoplasty would be a great procedure for you.Of course, you would need a consultation to determine an exact
