I am very unhappy with my results - would a fat transfer help? (Photo)

Question

I got 280cc teardrop shaped implants 6 months ago placed over the muscle and under the fascia and I am mot happy with the results and feel as if I need a revision. I think the size is off for my frame and they sit low on my chest. Also one is smaller and he is telling me almost that I am insane for wanting to go bigger and that one is not smaller. I am 130 pounds and 5’7. I dont know if fat transfer will help. Would love other surgeons feedback. Thank you!

Your breasts are low on the chest wall.  The only way to correct this would be to do a revision.  The pocket needs to be reinforced inferiorly and laterally, expanded upward and medially to give higher implant placement and you may also benefit from fat transfer to the upper pole.

Thank you for your question. I see this problem all of the time. A subfascial breast augmentation is equivalent to a subglandular breast augmentation. There is literally no support for your breast. I have a whole gallery of chronic changes associated with implants on top of the muscle. Gravity always wins. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to revision breast surgery, and I have been in practice for over 28 years. I wrote the only paper written on going from on top to below the muscle which would add support to your breasts. In order to keep the upper pole fullness, and have an attractive breast, You would need to go under the muscle and have a lift. Best wishes to you

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

First, with your anatomy, your breasts naturally do sit somewhat low on your chest, and this cannot be moved. Second, do not go larger because your tissue may not support a heavier implant. One may be a little larger, but it may not be worth the risk to change out that implant.  Third, you may not have much fat to donate, but I think your results are quite nice.

I have to side with your plastic surgeon on this one.  Your breasts are proportionate to your body, very symmetric and look phenomenal!  Going larger is certainly a possibility and is your choice, but expect fees to do so.  Good luck!
