I've just had my first look at my new breasts post-reduction. It looks to me like my nipples are really low so I'm panicking a bit! Are they too low? Will they drop further? I'm very swollen right now so I know this isn't my final breast size and shape, but I'm worried my nipples will wind up right at the bottom of my breast! It almost looks like they haven't been raised at all! Thanks for any reassurance!
Answer: NIPPLE POSITION As you are only few days after the surgery, and there is a considerable amount of swelling and the tissues are tight. This creates a more flat contour below the areola nipple complex, and also the impression that the nipples are low. If you look carefully, your nipples are above the level of the sub mammary crease and they are not too low. As the times goes by and the swelling goes down and your tissues get softer, the contour on the lower pole of the breast will get more round and the nipple areola complexes will look better in their position. Discuss all the concerns with your surgeon to get a better advice.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Drop & Fluff Hello,Thank you for the question and photos. It is common for the implant volume to be pressed in and upward under pressure while you are swollen. As that resolves and tissues slowly expand, you should find that they drop and fluff. this will take between 2-6 months. All the best

Answer: Nipples too low... Thanks for your question. I agree this is way to early to judge as a final result. Give the implants time to descend and the nipples should rise some. Also, post your before photos for us to see just where you started. Best, Dr. ALDO

Answer: Nipple position after reduction/lift Thank you for your question and photos. At this point it is much too early to tell where the final nipple position will be. As your swelling goes down and your breast tissue settles the shape of your breasts and position of your nipples will change. This process takes a few weeks to a few months. Try to be patient and be sure to bring up your concerns with your surgeon at your next visit. Best, Dr. Kludt
