13 days after breast augmentation- have I inflicted unwanted implant movement?

I generally do not use a strap after surgery but a soft support bra.  I allow my patients to take a shower 48 hrs after surgery and are allowed to wash their hair gently.  At two weeks time, the activity level can be increased slightly, but it isn't until one month from surgery when they can resume full activity including exercise.As every surgeon has a different post recovery regimen, it is always best to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Good luck.

Hello,My patients wash their hair the night of surgery, and lift their hands above their heads every hour the day of surgery. By 72 hours, they are doing all their daily activities.  They only wear a gently snug bra, which is just for comfort; they don't wear any strap.  The activities you describe is completely normal.Best of luck!

Try to avoid any strenuous activity for 4-6 weeks postoperatively. The more activity you do initially the more swelling you will generate and the longer it will take for your breasts to settle.

Implants are most vulnerable to malposition over the first two weeks; this is usually the time period that you might consider wearing a breast band, which keeps the implants down and in their ideal position; whether you have moved your implant or not, only you can tell; if they look asymmetric then you have moved them, if they look symmetric then you are ok. You can also get an examination by your doctor if you have concerns.
