I am 3 weeks pre-op and just trying to find out how big I will be based on being 5'8" and 130lbs. I'm thin/athletic. I have decided to go with 750cc ultra high profile. And let's be honest, I'm not exactly looking for the "natural" look. I want to be busty with a sexier look and wondering if I will be achieving that based on my stats and chosen implants.
Answer: Your anatomy and your goals Depending on the individual anatomy and desired results, estimations and measurements should be made for each patient individually after a detailed mutual conversation. The elements that form up the breast shape and size and the overall frame can be different in each person. It will be best to consult a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in cosmetic breast surgery in person and discuss your goals and options after a physical examination.

Answer: Best breast implants for me? Thank you for the question and picture. You will find that online consultants will not be able to provide you with specific advice in regards to selection of specific breast implant size/profile. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, and computer imaging) will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "D or DD cup” or "busty with sexier look" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery ( after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers). Viewing the patient's chest wall in the upright and supine positions, with temporary sizes in place, help select the best breast implant size/profile for the specific patient.I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to "larger" breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Size? Thank you very much for your question. The postoperative size will be difficult to predict, and it actually depends quite a bit on which bra manufacturer you use. The important thing is that you are happy with your appearance, and not focus on bra size.A word of caution, however. A very large implant may cause significant problems later on (skin stretching, breast sagging, back/neck pain, etc.). The look you want now may not be the look you want decades from now. Just something to seriously consider when choosing your implant. It's a big deal with potentially significant implications in the future.Best of luck!-Dr. Dan Krochmal

Answer: Size for a 5'8" 130lb women? The 750cc implants are huge and unnatural looking. Size should be based on the base width of your breast not height and weight. Worse the risk of complications such as capsular contracture, sagging and skin stretching are much greater with implants over 500-550cc. The look in the photo is likely in the 500cc range as they appear soft and full. High profile implants have a different look. Please see the following link:

Answer: The right base diameter of the implant is critical Your height and weight factor in to how much you will swallow up the volume but the more important measurement is getting the diameter of the chest wall correct so the correct diameter of the implant can be chosen. Understand that the UHP look the most fake, least natural (likely would be bigger and rounder than your goal photo) and carry the most long term issues and risks. Be sure you really want that before going ultra high.
