I just got my top lip done yesterday .5cc to be exact. I wanted something natural. I noticed while getting the injections that it bled more on the side that is bigger. I know the next day is the “duck lips” but I’m nervous because it hurts to move the side that is smaller. And is it normal for the smaller side to feel hard and hurt?

Answer: Lip Augmentation Recovery dhuff1990. It take at least one week for all swelling and bruising to resolve after lip augmentation injections. The swelling may cause the appearance of asymmetry, but it should resolve when swelling goes down. If not, see your doctor. Good luck!

Answer: Lip asymmetry Lip asymmetry is an issue that can arise in the first few days after the lips undergo injection. Usually, the swelling goes away and there is no problem. However, sometimes asymmetry does occur and you may need a touch up. Stay in touch with your surgeon and follow up after about two weeks if you notice any asymmetry. Good luck!
