Is it possible to achieve longer lips/a wider smile through lip fillers? (Photo)

Question

I went to a consultation the other day, but the nurse I spoke to was very intimidating. I showed her an example of the look that I want to achieve through lip fillers but she said that my lips are shorter/not as wide as the example photo. My lips are fairly short, I don't really mind my bottom lip but it's my top lip that bothers me. Looking at mine compared to my goal, do you think I can eventually achieve this look with fillers?

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  With careful placement of a thicker hyaluronic acid filler I do think that you can approximate your goal results.  Placement to increase the upper lip corners requires the major source of treatment so as to give the larger/wider upper lip to lower lip ratio. Lip augmentations with fillers would be a great option to improve the fullness and suppleness of the lips. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising.

I think you can get close to the look you are hoping to achieve.  No physician can promise you will look like a photo, but providing one will allow your doctor to appreciate your goals.  To get your desired result may require a "stacking" technique using one syringe and adding a second one at a later date.
