Can I have a hysterectomy, tummy tuck, and umbilical hernia repair at the same time?

Question

I have read all the post about the hysterectomy and tummy tucks being done together but can you also have an umbilical hernia some as well? Because I know that the hernia can be done with the tummy tuck and insurance will sometimes pay for some of the tummy tuck with that type of hernia. My doctor wants to do the hernia and hysterectomy I was just curious if I could do the tummy tuck at the same time??

The recovery restrictions after both a tummy tuck, hysterectomy, and hernia repair are all similar.  The combined procedures can be combined and it often makes sense to do them together.

Theoretically speaking, you can do hysterectomy, tummy tuck, and umbilical hernia repair at the same time. But it’s trickier in reality because you would usually need a gynecologist to do the hysterectomy, and a plastic surgeon for the other cosmetic procedures. 
Plus, these are major surgeries that require a lot of surgical time under general anesthesia. Once your surgery exceeds six hours, your anesthesia risks also increase.
If you really want to do all these procedures at once, I suggest that you consult not only with your board-certified plastic surgeon but with your gynecologist and licensed physician as well so that they can evaluate your readiness for all three procedures and give you recommendations on what to do.

If you are in a good state of health, most plastic surgeons will perform the abdominoplasty and umbilical hernia repair and a gynecologist will perform the hysterectomy in a single setting (a combined procedure). The relative risk of a combined procedure must be weighed against the advantages of a single surgery and recovery. 
I would discuss this issue with your gynecologist.
