I had some lipo and a full TT with muscle repair Nov 2016. In the last 6+ months I've been getting Charlie horses in my stomach and extremely painful. I also have feeling of my stomach rolling under my skin. I swell everyday and skin soo tight. I look 4 months pregnant. My bulge is hard as a rock too you can actually feel like there is a big mass under my skin. Also right above my pubic area is totally numb and it feels like there is fluid just floating around like a water bed.
Answer: 21 Months Post TT - Do I Have A Seroma Or A Pseudo-Bursa? Actually, the pseudo-bursa is the container in which a seroma is held, and yes, by your comments and from the pictures you sent, it appears you have a seroma.I highly recommend you contact your previous plastic surgeon and have an in person exam. If you were my patient, I would do a needle asperation, or if I was concerned that this might be other than a seroma, I would have a radiologist do an ultrasound to be sure the contents of this bursa are liquid and not solid.I'm sorry you are going through this but a diagnostic examination and treatment needs to be done sooner rather than later.

Answer: 21 months post tummy tuck: does it look like I have Pseudo-bursa or seroma? It's a good question. I'd recommend reaching out to your plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns. Ultrasound imaging may be the best way to determine if there is a collection of fluid in the area of concern.

Answer: What the heck is going on 21 months post TT Hi punckattI am sorry to hear about your issues. It is very difficult to make a diagnosis on your description and photos alone. The numbness is not likely a complication but rather a side effect of the surgery that necessarily results with every tummy tuck. The charlie horse and intermittent swelling can only be diagnosed on physical exam, and may be normal, but not likely. Depending on cause, this may be effectively treated with some stretching exercises prescribed by your doctor. The bulge being hard as a rock is perplexing and argues against a seroma, but on the other hand, your water bed description is consistent with seroma. Additionally, the pictures show marked changes over time that might be due to fluid accumulation. You need to visit with your doctor as your situation is NOT what I would expect for 21 months out. You need to undergo a thorough exam to determine if you have a fluid problem, a muscle repair problem, or some other problem. Once that is established, you can come up with an action plan. A second opinion is also an option. All the best.sek

Answer: Seroma post tummy tuck Dear Punkatt, I would recommend that you get in touch with and arrange to see and be examined by your operating surgeon. Your surgeon should be able to tell by clinical examination and either in office aspiration, ultrasound scan or both. I wish you well. Marcus
