I had liposuction done on inner knee and outer thigh. When Dr marked me up for surgery he said he was going to do some on my inner thigh as well. I had heard sometimes that's not a good idea because the skin is more lax. Overall, I'm very happy with the result but on the right inner thigh, there is a ropey/rippled area which I assume is fat & skin. Anyway to tighten? I am a year out-would using compression or massage help or do I need some kind of laser treatment?

Answer: Undesirable, liposuction results You cannot change your fat distribution by massage or wearing compression garments. Your results are a direct reflection of your candidacy for the procedure in the first place, and how the surgery was performed. The contour irregularity are a direct reflection of uneven fat removal from the procedure. delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. There is significant difference in variation in skill and experience among plastic surgeons when it comes to this procedure. I would go as far as saying that Liposuction results has more variation in the outcome based on the provider than any other plastic surgery procedure. The number of plastic surgeons who have truly mastered liposuction are in a minority. Improving liposuction results is very difficult abd should only be attempted by providers with a proven track record. Revision liposuction can easily make thing worse. There are no viable non surgical options to improve the outcome of poorly done liposuction. To make a quality assessment patients should always include a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have those then ask your provider to forward the pictures they took.
