How much Juvederm do I need? (Photos)

Question

I want a fuller pout to my lips. My Dixie is usually on the conservative side with procedures so I wanted a second opinion. They think that a half syringe will accomplish what best for me but I'm not sure it'll accomplish my goals.

Thank you for your question. Most patients wanting lip augmentation will begin the process with a single syringe, which is usually sufficient for the majority to produce natural, beautiful results. It is always best to adopt a conservative approach when filling the lips, since it is easier to add filler than it is to remove it after it has been injected. You can start with a single syringe, allow it to settle a bit, and then decide if you want a little more plumping or you are satisfied with your results.
When you are seeking lip augmentation using fillers, it is imperative that you choose an experienced injector to ensure the best possible results. While the smooth formulations of today’s fillers are an excellent way to enhance the lips, an inexperienced provider may leave you with asymmetries, lumps or an overfilled treatment area that doesn’t look natural. I would quote you a full syringe for the lips of juvederm ultraplus and then when the product settles I would reassess and see if more would be needed. 1 syringe is a good starting point

I usually use 1 syringe for lips.  Rarely, I'll get into a second syringe. To get to your goals based on the photos, i would think you would need at least 1 if not a bit more.

Thank you for sharing your questions.  I would recommend starting with a single syringe for your upper and lower lip combined.  Allow the results to settle over a few weeks and if you want more, consider additional filler to reach your desired lip fullness. I would anticipate you needing a full syringe in each lip to approach your goal results. By spacing out treatment into two sessions this will allow for a natural enhancement that will be noticeable, but will help avoid the duck lip look.  Based on your starting point I would also recommend using Juvederm Vollure.  Hope this helps.

Most Doctors start with one syringe to avoid over-filling. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. PDO Nova threads can also be used to improve shape and also provide lift. Fat or implants are a permanent alternative. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Hello. Thank you for the photos. I usually recommend 1 syringe for lip augmentation. I have started with half syringe but this usually leads to the patient returning and wanting more. I do not like to inject more than 1 syringe at a time. I always follow up at 2 weeks to make sure we got your desired results and you can always add more at that time. Good luck!

Hi there, I would recommend that you have 1 syringe of Juvederm  XC. Your mouth looks more like the women with the blonde hair. You both have more of a heart shaped mouth. The dark haired women's mouth is much wider than your own and I do not think that she is a good example of what you could achieve. I would definitely recommend that you see a board certified dermatologist who has a lot of experience injecting lips. You do not want to look over done, and that is important.

Many patient come to me and say they want fuller lips, but they don't want "duck lips"
1 cc of filler, injected correctly, is a nice augmentation but won't look overdone.  1/2 will not make much change.
For your goals, at least 1 maybe 1 1/2
