I had quite a bit of facial bone work done with Dr. Rodman and I am very pleased with the results. Her attention to detail has been great and her aesthetic perception is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about the inner workings of the face and can handle complications well when and of they arise. She is also constantly upgrading her practice to incorporate the newest of technologies. I’m very pleased that I chose her as my surgeon.
Dr. Rodman and her entire staff were awesome. I was treated very respectfully and with kindness. I went in for a consult, and ended up getting bellafill injections. Although there was quite a bit of bruising from the injections, I can see the long term results will be worth it. Updated on 4 Jun 2021: So now its 9 days after :) bruising all gone... Wow! Definitely feel better.... bags gone under eyes and cheeks are good too! Dr. Rodman did a great job... Will be going back for some other procedures also. Updated on 27 Jul 2021: So here I am two months after :) Bellafill injections done and feeling much younger! I had two more syringes injected (one in each cheek). No bruising this time ... and looking much better! Thanks to Dr. Rodman!
After researching lip lift for a couple of years, I finally did it. I am day 1 today, so I will be updating my recovery as I go along. So far, I am very swollen and mostly on a liquid diet. Planning to take it easy for the next few days. Updated on 20 Aug 2020: Stitches out today. Things are looking good. Swelling is improving Daly. Next follow up is in 2 weeks. Will continue to document recovery.
Dr. Rodman goes above and beyond and I would highly recommend. I was told by other physicians there was nothing they could do for my nose. However, she stepped up and was willing to take my case although probably every surgeons nightmare :) She is a superb surgeon technically. I selected her because I work in the healthcare industry now for 20 years and wanted someone with both board certification in ENT-Ear Nose and Throat and plastic surgeon. That is hard to find. However, what sets her apart even more from others is her compassion. She truly cares about her patients and treats the whole person. She gave me hope which I needed more then anything. I would highly recommend to anyone. We are not done yet but we both knew it would not be easy and quick fix. However, the best thing she could have ever told me is that we are in this together. I needed the hope. I can't thank her enough!
Just a quick note to say how thankful I am to have had the chance to talk with Dr Regina Rodman via consultation for a future surgery. She is amazingly kind & gracious, which is such a refreshing change from others. She strikes a perfect balance between listening to what a patient may need while also having the confidence to guide the way without crossing the line of arrogance. The latter part is extremely difficult & have met no other who can balance this quite like Dr. Rodman. Obviously the consultation has went very well & looking forward to working with her in the near future.
Dr. Rodman is great. I was greeted and treated very warmly by her and the staff. Most importantly, I am very pleased with the surgery she performed on me. From the moment I met Dr. Rodman I knew she would be the surgeon for me. Her personality is warm and caring, and her bedside manner is welcoming and professional. I am so glad that I chose her, but most of all, I am glad to have met her.
I wish I was able to express fully how amazing Dr. Rodman. She helped re-shape my ears. A procedure many surgeons adviced me not to, I was told it wouldn't look good. However Dr. Rodman was able to perform it and with excellent results! Any questions or concerns I had she addressed. She is always available to message/reply any concerns I had at any time of day. Glad she was my surgeon.
Like most men, I don't like going to the doctor. I felt so comfortable with Dr. Rodman from the moment I met her. She has a great bedside manner. I had a lot of questions, and was not rushed in answering all of them. I would recommend her highly.
Ever since my double-jaw surgery August of 2016, I've been mildly upset about my face. My upper and lower jaws were moved forward which pulled a lot of volume from my temples, cheeks, and underneath my eyes (which became hollow). I've previously attempted Volbella for the under hollow eyes (which helped quite a bit) and one syringe of Voluma to the cheek area (which didn't do much after the water swelling went down). I switched to Dr Regina Rodman who suggested Sculptra to rebuild my cheeks and help with my boxy face. I have had the first treatment done out of the 3 total planned. The first treatment consisted of 2 vials and probably about 20 injections total! I was also given local anesthetic prior which probably added around 6 additional injections. Definitely felt like a pin cushion! Injections were focused on the temples, sides of the jaw, chin (which turned out to exceed my expectations), marionette lines (these hurt the worst!), and cheeks. The hour drive home afterward was the most pain I felt, mostly sore achy-ness and some stiffness, but after having your jaw cut and realigned, this was nothing. This hour was also, what I consider, to be the prettiest. Yes, I looked puffy and swollen, but Dr Rodman has an eye for aesthetic! (Low key wish I would've had my jaw surgery with her). My cheeks looked beautiful and my temples were filled in and made a huge difference. I bruise easily and I began taking Arnica immediately for the next 6 days. There's still yellow bruising, but the 2 major ones were under my chin and my right cheek where I assume the marionette injection went - these ones were purple. I followed the 5-5-5 massage and noticed a squishy sound and feeling heavily in my right temple and slightly in my left. This went away after 4 days. Some before photos can be seen here: Check out this Q&A on RealSelf https://www.realself.com/question/4703458?deeplink=deeplink/q_and_a/4703458&utm%5Fsource=iOSApp&utm%5Fmedium=share&utm%5Fcampaign=app-sharing And the photos here are of Immediately After and the Next Morning. Updated on 31 May 2017: Bruising is more yellow and my face is a lot less squishy. It was much easier to smile normally! Still pleased with the result. I'm expecting my face to go back to how it was before soon and then for it to fill back in over the next few weeks.
For years I had wanted rhinoplasty and I'm so happy I decided to go with Dr. Rodman. She made me feel comfortable from beginning to end and I could not be happier with the overall result of my nose. Thank you Dr. Rodman!
The amount of sagging skin after the Vline surgery depends on each patient. Each of my patients wears a facial garment afterwards to help support the soft tissue and have it seal to the new bone. I have found that in young patients with elastic skin this usually heals fine. I do offer patients the Renuvion (or Jplasma) skin tightening at the same time. This is great for older patients, or young patients who have some skin laxity. This can be done at the same time as Vline surgery, or after if the patient still wants tighter skin to define the new jawline. Of course, visit with a craniofacial surgeon to see what options best fit your face. Best of luck Dr Rodman
Yes! There are several different ways to perform Vline surgery. The surgery is catered to each patients needs. Sometimes just bringing the chin down and forward creates a better "V" Creating a steeper angle from the angle of the mandible to the chin is generally feminizing; and this can be done by changing the angle, the chin or both. Of course, visit with a craniofacial surgeon to see what options best fit your face. Best of luckDr Rodman
Hello and thank you for your photos and question.Based on what I see in the photos, your chin is out of proportion to the rest of your jaw. I recommend a sliding genioplasty to augment the chin and bring better balance to the lower 1/3 of the face. You may want to consider buccal fat removal at the same time to help slim and narrow the cheeks. Botox to the masseter muscle may help some, but will not likely be a definitive solutionBest of luckDr Rodman
I use kenalog to prevent unwanted scarring. It shouldn't be used for swelling, but in some cases where there is excess fullness, this is scarring that is trying to form. Kenalog prevents the scarring from forming and helps decrease the fullness in these areas. This is why it is so important to follow up with your rhinoplasty surgeon. I tell patients I can give about 10-15% better results if they come for post op visits. Best of luckDr Rodman
Sorry to hear you are going through this. From your photos, it does appear your result is suboptimal. Having not been at your first surgery, I'm not sure why a septoplasty was not done during the primary rhinoplasty if you were having breathing issues. But the good news for you is that if septoplasty was not performed, there may still be enough cartilage in your septum to correct your nose. In these cases I usually consent the patient for a revision rhinoplasty with septoplasty and possible rib graft. I discuss with my patients that I will do everything I can to use what is already available in the nose, and possibly the ear cartilage. But I don't want to compromise the result and if I need rib to make sure the new nose is stable, I will harvest it. For thin skinned patients temporalis fascia is helpful to blend the new structure and hide any irregularities. I disagree that filler will fix your hanging collumella. You need to see an experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeon. Best of luckDr Rodman
