Could I get Botox 2 weeks after Dysport if I need more?

Hi I got dysport 8 days ago.  I need more. I asked for least amount possible so dr gave me 45 units each side masseters. If I wait 2 weeks can I go somewhere else and get botox? Dr I went to only does dysport and office is too far. Could I go somewhere else and get botox this time ?

Yes you can mix Botox and Dysport without any adverse effects. Both of the formulations work in a similar fashion by relaxing muscles that lead to the formation of wrinkles or in your case, to narrow your jawline. Two weeks is a good amount of time to wait, since results should be apparent by then. When you select your doctor for Botox treatments, make sure you choose a board-certified dermatologist and expert Botox injector to ensure an optimal outcome.

You can absolutely have Dysport injections either following Botox injections or at the same time as your Botox injections.  Many providers have found Dysport is slightly more effective around the eyes than Botox for crows feet and will inject Dysport in this area while Botox is used in the Glabella and forehead.  I would give the Dysport two weeks for full effect and be careful about how much more neurotoxin you place in the masseter to avoid over weakening the muscle and smile distortion.

Yes it is fine to have the same area injected with both Dysport and Botox.  Be sure to wait the full two weeks between the treatments.  It takes two weeks for the final results and the injector will need to assess those in order to select the proper number of units for the touch up.

Thank you for your question.  Yes, it is safe to get Botox 2 weeks from your Dysport treatment. It also makes sense to do your neurotoxin treatments with an injector who is conveniently close to you as it is a treatment that is repeated two to four times a year.

These can be intermixed without problem and often injectors use these in combination. If you do indeed need a heavier dose there is no downside to additional injections with a different type.  Best of luck!
