Deep ridges under eyes - too much Botox?

Question

I had Botox injected 3 months ago. I’ve had it four times before over the last 4 years. This time I’m not sure if the injector might have used too much or something? I’ve had these deep ridges develop under my eyes, as you can see in the photo. What should I say next time around to avoid this happening? Would filler improve it?

Thanks for your question. I have never seen deep ridges form after a Botox treatment, as it’s not usually injected around the undereye area. If you want to add volume under the eyes I recommend Juvederm Ultra, or Restylane - they have a smaller molecular size so they work perfectly in areas with very delicate skin and tissue. I would suggest you visit your licensed injector and discuss your concerns with him/her to decipher your aesthetic plan.

Botox is used to pervent muscular action, allowing the muscle to relax and wrinkles to soften. It is rarely used directly under the eye and from your description it may be purely coincidental that you have these ridges. You may have loss of volume around the eye that can create the shadowing effect. Juvederm filler would help to lift up the ridges.#dermalfiller#juverderm#botox
