After botox injections I still have slightly visible wrinkles. My provider says it is normal and it is not possible to get rid off wrinkles completely. Is this correct? My re-botox wrinkles weren't too deep. Thank you
Answer: Is it normal to still have visible wrinkles after Botox injections between the eyebrows? Depending on the depth of your wrinkles prior to Botox it is possible for them to still be present after treatment. The treatment should have softened the look however. I encourage you to return for an evaluation. If you are still able to move the area freely it may be that a touch up is needed.

Answer: Combining Injectables for Best Results Yes, it is possible some wrinkles will remain after Botox injections. The neuromodulator targets dynamic wrinkles, which are those that appear when you make certain facial expressions. At first, the lines only appear when you make those expressions, but over time, they can become permanent. Botox relaxes the muscles to smooth away wrinkles, which will have an excellent effect in the early stages but may not be a complete solution once the lines become permanent. At that point, you might need a combination of Botox and a dermal filler to achieve the results you want. Work with a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert in injectable treatments to get the best possible results from your treatments.

Answer: Sometimes a combination approach is needed Thank you for your question. Botox is a neuromodulator that works by relaxing the muscles that lead to the formation of wrinkles. However, if those lines have become permanently etched on the skin, Botox alone may not be enough to eliminate them entirely. I recommend you see a board-certified dermatologist for your next treatment who can evaluate your concerns, discuss your goals and devise a treatment plan customized to your precise needs and desired results. Good luck to you!

Answer: Wrinkles after Botox Treatment Hello and thank you for your question. Botox is a neuromodulator that works by relaxing the muscles that lead to the formation of some types of wrinkles. These lines typically appear when you make certain facial expressions like frowning or squinting. At first, the lines are only present with those expressions but over time, they can become more permanently etched into the face. At this point, Botox can be very effective in minimizing the wrinkles, but may not eliminate them entirely. However, there are treatments that can be combined with Botox to enhance results. I encourage you to work with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has a menu of treatment options and can tailor your procedures to your precise needs.

Answer: Botox Yes, you can still have visible wrinkles if you have Botox injections. Botox is really geared towards treating fine lines and wrinkles that appear during facial expressions. Dermal fillers on the other hand will address fine lines and wrinkles that are always there, even when your face is at rest. I recommend that you book an in-person complimentary consultation with a registered nurse injector at a certified clinic that offers other kinds of treatments as well, not only Botox. They will be able to assess if Botox is the right treatment for you or if you might need another type of treatment for the wrinkles that concern you, or possibly a combination of both.
