Did Botox 38 hours ago and I still have these big bumps where the injections were put in, in my forehead. I don’t know what to do or if they will go away, I have a lumpy forehead and it’s a little sore. Here’s 4hours after, 12 hours after, 24 hours after and 38 hours after. I can still move my forehead up and down as well, it’s a little forced but the creases still form.
Answer: Lumps after Botox Hi! I can tell you that this is very uncommon. I saw a case about 6 months ago, I concluded it was an immunological reaction because the Botox effect only last in this case for about one month, it would be interesting to hear from your evolution. Thanks for your question.

Answer: Lumps on forehead still 38 hours after Botox. What should I do Swelling lasting this long after injection of Botox is not common. I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation. Be sure that FDA approved Botox was used.

Answer: Swelling like this not common, should be checked I appreciate your concern. It is not typical at all to have this kind of swelling this long after Botox injections. While some swelling is common, it usually dissipates within 24 hours. I recommend scheduling a follow-up with your injector for an in-person assessment. And make sure you are always working with a board-certified dermatologist who is also an expert Botox injector in the future, to avoid potential issues.

Answer: Swelling after Botox Injections Thanks for the question and I understand your concern. While swelling after Botox injections is not unusual, swelling for this long is. While the side effects may subside without any intervention, I believe a follow-up appointment with your injector is in order. Through an in-person assessment, you should be able to determine why the swelling is occurring and whether additional treatment might be necessary. Good luck!

Answer: Botox typically does not cause lumps to persist a few hours after injection Prominent lumps don't normally form after Botox and the typical swelling from the mostly saline filled lumps resorb in a few hours. If multiple sites occur, it is doubtful that they would all be written off as hematomas (blood collections). If there is no severe itching or pain, usually allergy and infection are ruled out. Was this bonafide FDA-approved Botox or some other material that someone injected? Please see your doctor to evaluate your conditon as it is extremely unusual. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice.
