Hello, I am planning to have a rhinoplasty, but I don’t want the bridge or the bony part of my nose to be touched. I am only interested in a bulbous tip reduction and nostril reduction. Will this be enough to achieve a balanced look? Thank you for your advice.

Answer: It's a bit unusual, but it's probably possible in your case... The photos indicate that your skin isn't too thick, so we can see the outlines of the strong tip cartilages that are making the tip of the nose look wide-ish. So it should be possible to design an operation that only addresses that area of concern. Since revision rhinoplasty is so difficult, however, you should spend the effort to look at good photos of your nose from other views than these frontals, to make certain that there's nothing else to address. In any rhinoplasty, we should be addressing *everything* that's on a patient's list, so we're not tempted to go back later and do more!

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a good candidate for a Rhinoplasty for tip refinement and nostril reduction. In order to fully evaluate your nose however, additional photos would be helpful, including a side profile view. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G.
