Unhappy with results 1 year post op, can this be reversed? (photos)

i'm 25 and i got the surgery at almost 24 yearsold. it's been a year and my nose looks wide at the bridge and from the side my philtrum looks more flat and less curved compared to before. i think my nose looks too short for my face and it's not projecting as much. it's also tilting towards one side i think... and sth is poking out of my nostril which feels like cartilage but my doctor said it's scar tissue?? also is my anterior nasal spine shaved and can it be reversed?

hello. You can achieve a functionally and cosmetically improved nose with revision rhinoplasty. It is possible to relieve your discomfort with a carefully prepared surgery plan.

for the wide bridge, If the fat tissue under the skin is carefully removed from the part of the bridge that you find thick and the nasal cartilage is placed in a way that creates a stronger structure, with giving elegant and feminine tip to give more projection your problem will be solved.

Also the shaved nasal cartilage deformation can be solved with placing cartilage. The problem can be fixed by experienced doctor for sure.

One golden rule: Please do not have the surgery when you feel uncomfortable and have doubts with a surgeon who you feel hesitated about. The point you need to be careful while searching for the best surgeon is the time between the before and after photos of your surgeon. The after pictures should be at least 1 years after the operation. Early results and intraoperative comparison photos have no value.

The goal of rhinoplasty surgery is to allow somebody's nose to blend in and to become less conspicuous. I understand that you are dissatisfied. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a revision to help improve your nostril symmetry, and decrease the width of your mid-nasal vault. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Given that you're a year out from surgery, you could consider a revision at this point.
Seek guidance from a surgeon experienced with revision rhinoplasty as these situations are inherently much more challenging.
I do think you have some valid concerns, and having performed rhinoplasty for 15 years, I know that an experienced surgeon can improve this for you. Given your prior surgery, there's a possibility that additional cartilage may be necessary to effect sufficient changes, and therefore rib cartilage may be suggested. Discuss this with your surgeon during the consultation.

To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure, we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures.
If you don’t have them before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.
While you’re at it, you should also get a copy of your medical records especially your operative report.
You’ll need this if you want to get a proper second opinion consultation.
There’s no shortage of plastic surgeons happy to help you with rhinoplasty revision surgery.
Whether someone can restore you to a preoperative state is another question entirely.
It depends on where you started from and what was done during surgery.
Start following up with your provider.
If that leaves you unsatisfied and schedule a few in person, second opinion consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community.
Simply not liking that your outcome may not be a good indication for having surgery.
Whenever we contemplate doing permanent irreversible surgery on people, we generally like to start by having a clear understanding of what the problem is.
With rhinoplasty surgery, there may be a long list of ideologies or actual problems that need to be addressed.
You’ve done a good job at the listing the things that bother you.
Schedule a few in person consultations and bring your concerns written down as a list of individual problems.
Try to get comprehension of what is causing each of the areas of concern and what each providers suggestion is for how to address them.
Rhinoplasty is not a single operation.
It is a general term used for many different operations to treat many different atomic regions of the nose.
If you’re looking for second opinion, consultations, then look for plastic surgeons who have at least 10 to 20 years of experience, preferably those focusing exclusively on rhinoplasty surgery.
Look for providers who are members of the rhinoplasty society.
