I have an appointment next month to have Juvederm Voluma done on my cheeks and possibly jawline. I'm thinking about having my lips done as well. I want only my top lip augmented because I feel like my bottom lip will be too large if I do both. I don't want to waste money on lip augmentation at all if I don't need to. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!
Answer: Lip Fillers -- Juvederm Ultra/Ultra Plus/Volbella/Voluma, Restylane Silk/Lyft, Belotero, Fat Injections Lip fillers can be injected anywhere on the lip as long as they are in proportion and look good. most guys need the lower to be larger than the upper however. I suggest you see an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Lip Augmentation Question Thank you for sharing your question and photos. The easy answer to your questions is yes, you can certainly select the areas you want to enhance while avoiding other areas. However, when it comes to the lips, it is of the utmost importance to maintain a natural aesthetic. Injecting the top lip without the bottom lip usually results in an unbalanced lip ratio, which is not desirable for most. I recommend discussing your ideas with a board-certified injector who is experienced with lip augmentation. He/she will be able to evaluate you in person to determine your volume requirements and whether it is in your best interest to only inject the upper lip. Best of luck, Dr. Kian

Answer: Augmenting the top lip with lip fillers Yes, it's possible to only augment the top lip, depending on desired results. Lip augmentations with fillers is a great option to improve the fullness, suppleness and symmetry of the lips. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Cost will vary with how much filler is needed to get your desired results. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers. I hope this helps.

Answer: Filler You can certainly add filler to your top lip only. Discuss your treatment goals with your injector to help you achieve the look you desire. I would not recommend using Voluma for the lips.

Answer: Upper lip only! Yes. The upper lip can be injected by itself, but it must be done with a small amount of filler. Otherwise, it may look too swollen or over-corrected for a bit of time. Since you're having your cheeks done, then I don't think this will be an issue.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
