Why has my lip filler (Juvederm 4) gone above my lip line? (photo)

It does look like some of your filler is above the lip line. I suggest you see your injector/physician for an evaluation and to see if dissolving the filler would be of benefit.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO 

Hi Milly. Sorry to hear about your situation.  Normally lip filler will not migrate from the lips to the area you show in the photos.  Before photos would help clarify the concerns, but we would suggest returning to your injector to talk about it.  The product is dissolvable with Hyaluronidase so if you are not happy with it, you don't have to keep it.  Good luck and we hope it works out for you.  

Dear milly84,Juvederm has significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks.  Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve.  3 weeks after injecting, this is probably your final shape and size. You have an option to dissolve but dissolving is unpredictable as well.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

This may be due to filler placement. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
