Sagging sides 9 years after neck lift surgery. Is this fixable? (Photo)

I had a neck lift surgery in 2015. It was healing with sagging sides and so the dr did a second operation. It’s been bad since then but 9 years later and it is really bad and embarrassing. Is this fixable?

In general, the results from a face or neck lift last about ten years. At this point, it is likely that you may need to repeat the operation to get acceptable results. If your jowls returned following the initial procedure, I would seek a provider that can provide a maintenance treatment such as EmFace, TriLift, or other RF/muscle stimulation devices that can help to maintain your result.

In general, the laxity that you are concerned about is addressed better with a vertical vector. This means that it is captured by a facelift intervention, and in particular, if the facelift procedure uses scars that extend in front of the temple hairline.

This allows for removal of skin that directly addresses the laxity under the chin in a more consistent and lasting manner than when it is tensed laterally with a more oblique vector.

Based on your photo, you are a great candidate for a lower face and neck lift. While the skin may not look perfect, you should get a great improvement along the jawline and under the chin and neck. Be sure to see a facial specialist for consultation.
