In June of 2023 I had chin lipo and jplasma. I now have the dreaded "turkey neck" which at 38 I feel like I'm too young to have. My dermatologist has suggested Genius RF. It is around $1,000 per session and may need up to 3. I was wondering about laser lift and ultherapy but was wondering if i should just invest the money in a mini neck lift or neck lift if I'm going to be spending thousands anyway. I'd rather go non surgical but not sure I will get the results I want.

Answer: Difficult Decision It is always a difficult decision to pursue surgery following a failure of a nonivasive or minimally invasive procedure. You will likely need a full neck lift to correct the skin given its location. While this is not a wrong answer, it would certainly be quite a jump in terms of invasiveness. It would depend on the cost of a neck lift in your area in terms of deciding whether to pursue a full neck lift, but I would shy away from a mini neck lift as to truly fix the problem you are describing and showing you will need a full neck lift.

Answer: Deep plane neck lift Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. The residual laxity following volume reduction is relatively difficult to control. A neck lift intervention is more likely to give you the type of change that you seem to be looking for. In the profile photo, there is some visibility of the left submandibular gland, which would not be corrected by non-surgical techniques. Although your primary aim seems to be to create a smoother contour, a neck lift also offers the opportunity to produce a more defined appearance for the jawline and a slimmer appearance for the neck. A consultation with a surgeon who offers a deep plane neck lift will allow you to decide comparatively what outcome you would rather achieve. This consultation will help you understand what the treatment entails, the associated scars, and whether it is the right choice for you at this point in time.
