The risk of PE is really low with facial procedures that are of short-ish duration. If you can come off Eliquis for the perioperative period you should be a good candidate.
There are also nonoperative technologies that might be worth consideration, like Sofwave.

I would always recommend seeing a board-certified (American Board of Plastic Surgery) plastic surgeon with experience in facial rejuvenation surgery. Ideally, this surgeon has also completed a 1 year accredited Aesthetic Society fellowship. Facial plastic surgeon are not actually plastic surgeons...they complete a 5 year ear-nose-throat surgery residency followed by a non-accredited "facial plastic surgery" fellowship. Regardless, one of the biggest problems in facelift surgery is a hematoma. If you are on blood thinners, this can exponentially increase the risk of bleeding, which can be life threatening.
