The mechanical trauma induced by the injection of saline into an area of prior filler treatment may actually hasten the natural process of dissolution and removal that ordinarily is responsible for its breakdown and removal. I have in fact successfully used saline injections in patients who have come to me complaining of undesirable results that they had obtained elsewhere with the use of a calcium-based volumizing filler, Radiesse. In this case, both the mechanical action of needles and the saline itself are believed responsible for hastening the dissolution of the filler. The same can reasonably be asserted when considering the use of saline injections in a region of prior hyaluronic acid-based filler injection. I am curious, however, to know the actual reason that saline is being used in your case. Is it perhaps to enhance subcision with the needle?
No, it won't negatively impact your fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert for best outcomes. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. No, saline will not negatively affect your Juvederm filler. However, I am not sure why youwant to have saline injected given that it will not remain in that area formore than a few hours. I recommend having a consultation with your injector todiscuss your concerns. Best of Luck!
Hello lady45788,Thank you for sharing your question with us. In relation to your question saline injection in or around an area of previously placed filler will not have a negative impact on it. However I'm not really sure of the reason or purpose to have saline injections?? Be well.
Thanks for your question. I am not sure why you would want to have saline injected at all given that it will not remain in that area for more than a few hours to one day. Nonetheless, it shouldn't have any effect on the filler that was injected previously. Best of luck to you.
I don't know why saline would be injected, but it shouldn't affect the filler. Occasionally, I will try to break up nodules of Radiesse with saline/lidocaine mixture, but the improvement is mostly related to the mechanical trauma of the needle.
Thank you for your question. Since you are 10 days post procedure there can be some swelling, which can last up 2 weeks. If you are unhappy with your final results you can have the filler dissolved with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. If you still have concerns please contact your expert...
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photograph. Botox can be carefully administered to change the brow position, higher or lower, depending on your goals and expectations. Natural results can be achieved. Please be sure to see an expert injector for an in-person consultation to...
I am sorry to see what you are going through. This is the result of the healing after the trauma. The healing process implies neovascularization and the change in color in the area can be due to that. The filler has nothing to do with this problem. consult with an expert to recommend...
