I had 1ml of juvederm put in my lips in Sept '16. At around the 3 week mark my bf bit my lip during a fairly hectic romp and the damage was.... bad. A flap of skin came off and the area was bruised, took weeks to heal and the bruise remained. I read somewhere that the filler could have leaked and it would fade as my body metabolised it or whatever. It's been ages. Is this even to do with the filler or is it the trauma? (Recreation drugs make it temporarily worse... changes in blood pressure?)

You are correct that Ultra Plus is "thicker" (has a higher G prime or hardness) compared to Ultra. I suggest considering Volbella, the new recently FDA approved filled by the Juvederm family specifically for lip augmentation; it is smoother to inject and blends the various aesthetic units...
Thank you for sharing your question. It is difficult without an in-person examination of the tissues to know if these lumps are the result of filler or scar tissue but one way to assess is to have the areas injected with hyaluronidase to dissolve any synthetic hyaluronic acid still present. ...
