Do I have enough fat for a BBL? (photos)

Question

Hello, I am 5’7 and 172lbs. I am a WLS patient that lost 255lbs. Among other procedures, I am getting a BBL. I understand without an in person assessment it is hard to tell, however do you all think I have enough fat to achieve my wish pics? My surgeon will be giving his assessment shortly but I’d love to hear from others as well. I appreciate your opinion. Thank you!

In this regard, I recommend you a Tummy Tuck to get a flat abdomen and waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour. I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL).

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you have enough fat for BBL. However, you have a lot of loose skin so you will probably need body lift as well. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

You have some fat that may be transferred and augment your buttocks, but not enough to give you the results you desire.

You will have enough for BBL if you utilize all of the fat on your body which will also require excisions of redundant skin. This will include a tumm tuck in the front, upper body lift, and lateral thigh and buttock tuck. Please consider a virtual consutlation with a high definition  body contouring specialist.

It looks to me like you have plenty of fat to do a BBL but I would not recommend doing that until you’ve done all the skin surgery is needed first.

Typically successful massive weight loss patients need a wraparound Tummy tuck a.k.a. body lift as their first procedure.

After that there are probably other areas of addressing ski laxicity that will give you more improvement than having Liposuction or fat transfer.

You cannot compare before and after pictures for patients who look completely different than yourself.

Skin laxity is the number one reason patience failed to be good candidates for both Liposuction and fat transfer so deal with the primary problem first and continue in that order.
Weight loss patients need skin surgery and typically more skin surgery.

Once you’ve gotten your skin under control then you can get an assessment for fat transfer procedures if desired.
