I have had three consultations all telling me different things. One surgeon said implants, another said I would be a great candidate, and another said I needed to gain 5lbs. I'm so confused about what I need to do and if my goals are even realistic. I don't need a huge butt and am mostly looking for the benefit of lipo to trim down my waistline and stomach, as well as add some fat to my hips in order to get more curves going. I am 5'10", 145lbs. Included are two wishlist photos. TIA!

Answer: Skinny BBL Candidate Thanks for your question. From your pictures, I would recommend gaining weight for a BBL. The BBL includes 360 lipo, which is lipo of the upper and lower abdomen, the upper and lower back and the flanks. So, you would need enough fat in these are for transfer to the buttocks. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure your surgeon you choose has extensive experience with Skinny BBLs and clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic

Answer: Do I have enough fat for a BBL? You do. I would say that the most frequent error patients make when planning a BBL is they assume they need more fat than they actually do. You would be what we call a skinny BBL where we would use all of your fat but you have sufficient fat to fill in the hip dips and add more projection. This video --DO I have enough fat for a skinny BBL will help you understand.

Answer: Do I have enough fat for a BBL? (Photo) In almost every case, I do not recommend weight gain prior to a BBL. It is far better to maintain a stable weight rather than gain weight. The thinner patient requires an expert at liposuction to remove as much fat as possible while leaving the skin smooth. There is tremendous difference in skill level among plastic surgeons in fat removal and fat transfer skills. Look at before and after photos of skinny BBLs on the plastic surgeon's web site.
