From the photo, it appears you are a good candidate for tip refinement. While it is difficult, the tip rotation can be brought down some while refining the tip to make it a bit thinner. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultaion.
Hi @britt3211. You would be an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty. I recommend seeing an expert rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are options for you that can be determined after examination. Best of luck,Dr. Nima
Yes, rhinoplasty can rotate your tip down to help hide the nostrils on front view, and refine the tip. Find a surgeon you like with good training and experience, and work with them to formulate a plan that addresses your goals!
Nasal refinement can be performed base on the pictures that you provided. Additional views are necessary for further suggestions. Besides changing the nasal tip, the bridge can be refined along with the nostril width. Discuss your goals with you plastic surgeon. Computer imaging can be helpful when making these decisions
A cosmetic rhinoplasty is able to refine and enhance the appearance of the nose which would address your concerns. Unfortunately, there isn’t a side profile view of your face from the photos that you’ve provided which is essential in determining if your goals are realistic. Notably, a rhinoplasty does have anatomical limitations such as skin thickness, bone structure, and cartilage which can all alter the maximum refinement options. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in office consultations with board certified facial plastic surgeons to discuss your ideal outcome. This way, they can assess your goals in person and determine the best treatment for you. Best of luck! Kian Karimi MD, FACS
It is very difficult without a good exam, profile photos and such to determine if one is a good candidate for a tip rhinoplasty. Your rhinoplasty surgeon will assess a number of anatomic features of your nose that may affect the result of a rhinoplasty. This includes the quality of the skin, the thickness of the fat underneath the skin, the cartilage and such. If one has very thick layers of fat between the skin and the underlying cartilage, it is more difficult to make a significant change compared to somebody who has thinner skin and thinner layer of fat. However, it is possible to improve tip definition to give a more refined tip to the nose. It is not unnatural to be able to see the nostrils, just take a peek at various models in magazines and on the Internet however, if one has an ill-defined tip, it tends to highlight the nostrils. If on exam the base of the nose appears to wide, often this can be changed also. One quick note on selfies via a cell phone. The small lens distorts the optics somewhat and makes the center of the photograph slightly larger compared to surrounding areas. That is why portrait photographers use very specialized lenses to obtain realistic proportions of the face.
Thank you for your question and sharing your photographs. It would help to see also the side in view of the nose. Based on the front view appearance, it would be possible to combine tip plasty and alar base reduction and possibly also to narrow slightly the bridge. The appearance of the bridge may actually be fine in real life and made to look worse in a selfie.Ultrasonic instruments from rhinoplasty can help the refinement for the bridge if it is deemed necessary and you can use computer simulations to understand better both of these characteristics. The profile contour will highlight whether the tip position would benefit from a change or not.
Hello @britt3211 thank you for your question and sharing your picture. Yes you are candidate for a rhinoplasty. It is possible to make the nose more refined with a close rhinoplasty which means that the scars go inside the nose, and in harmony with your features. A consultation with a specialist will give you more information and recomendations. Best wishes!
Hello,Thank you for your enquiry. It would be helpful to add a photo from side-view and from below. From what I can see you might cosmetically benefit from narrowing of the base of the nose, from nasal tip refinement and from downward rotation. It would be advisable to see a doctor for a face-to face consultation to get a better idea.
Thank you for your question. By the pictures provided, Rhinoplasty could be a good option for you. However, a definitive answer is not possible without a full clinical exam. My advice to you is to seek out a board-certified specialist who specializes in Rhinoplasty. I advise everyone to seek out at least two consultations. Finding the right surgeon for you is a critical factor in this process. This is a team effort and the relationship is a longer-term relationship than people give it credit for.Best of luck to you!Dr. E
Hi dear for your query . now as I can see in the pic there are two issues. first is the depression and secondly there is scarring not very clear in the pic. for the depression we can easily put a cartilage graft during rhinoplasty . secondly regarding the scar we have to evaluate the scar when I...
What to do for a “poly beak” shaped nose? Your profile does have a convex shape which is sometimes referred to as a poly beak. This is one of the most common type profiles that is routinely addressed with a rhinoplasty.
Thank you for your question. Rhinoplasty can solve both cosmetic and functional issues. If you’ve experienced nasal trauma, I recommend an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Your surgeon should perform a comprehensive facial evaluation complete with d...
