Hello and thank you for using RealSelf.com.I think all physicians would agree that it takes minimum of 6 months and sometimes up to one year to see the final results of your operation.  Especially a tummy tuck where so many layers of tissue need to heal and become 'normal' again.  During the healing time, I wholeheartedly recommend starting and continuing a healthy diet (no sugar, refined carbs or processed foods) and exercise including weight training and cardio workouts.  These will not only help you heal better but also give you even better results.Dr Spies

I believe it can take up to one year after surgery to see the final results. You will notice improvement immediately after surgery and start to see swelling resolve by 6 weeks postop..
