Hello and thank you for using RealSelf.com.I think all physicians would agree that it takes minimum of 6 months and sometimes up to one year to see the final results of your operation.  Especially a tummy tuck where so many layers of tissue need to heal and become 'normal' again.  During the healing time, I wholeheartedly recommend starting and continuing a healthy diet (no sugar, refined carbs or processed foods) and exercise including weight training and cardio workouts.  These will not only help you heal better but also give you even better results.Dr Spies

Usually, patients will see the final result of a tummy tuck procedure from 6 months to a year. There are many factors that can affect the recovery time and healing.You will see a dramatic improvement immediately, but of course should expect some swelling for a few weeks to months.Most plastic surgeons recommend an abdominal binder or compressive garment to help minimize the postoperative swelling.Furthermore the results can be enhanced with an exercise regimen.

Thanks so much for your question. It depends on the amount of liposuction. More liposuction means more swelling and longer time for final results, but 6 months is safe to say for final results. 

The final results of a tummy tuck and liposuction are most often seen at about a year after your procedures.

I believe it can take up to one year after surgery to see the final results. You will notice improvement immediately after surgery and start to see swelling resolve by 6 weeks postop..

Thanks for your question.Immediately following the tummy tuck and liposuction, you should notice that you do not have excess lower abdominal skin and fat.  However, you will experience swelling (edema) of the body especially your surgical area soon after the surgery. Although a majority of swelling decreases within 6 weeks, the final result of tummy tuck and liposuction may take up to 6 months.Please follow up with your plastic surgeon closely so that he/she can monitor your progress.Best regards.
