I am scheduled to have a TT and BBL with lipo. Is it okay if I have a piece of luggage that I check in about 45 lbs? My shoulder bag will be about 15lbs. Will it be okay for me to carry?

Answer: Carrying luggage after surgery Absolutely not! I don't permit my patients to lift their babies, let alone luggage. There is no conceivable reason for you to do this and it is misguided.

Answer: Heavy lifting after TT and BBL You should certainly ask your plastic surgeon for postoperative lifting restrictions. In my practice, I counsel patients not to lift anything heavier than 10 pounds for 6 weeks. No abdominal or core strengthening exercises for 3 months in the gym. After 6 weeks, you can begin to lift heavier items once your body can tolerate it.Best wishes,Dr. Ravi Somayazula
