Dear Krysti95,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you don't have enough loose skin for tummy tuck. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You would benefit most from a mini tummy tuck and liposuction. The stretch marks indicate that the skin has lost its ability to shrink back so Liposuction alone may not do the trick. I hope this helps.
So, it will depend, how you feel your belly, how old are you, if your muscle are split, maybe you will need a mini tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo to the sides
Thank you for your question. In my opinion, an abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck would be the better option in achieving your goals. While liposuction does a great job at removing unwanted fat from the body, you will still be left with the excess skin and stretch marks on your abdomen; however, keep in mind that an abdominoplasty will not necessarily get rid of the stretch marks on the abdomen.
Thank you for your question regarding whether you need a tummy tuck or liposuction. Because you have excess skin and stretch marks, I believe you’ll get the best results with a tummy tuck. Stretch marks indicate that your skin will not reliably bounce back with liposuction. Therefore, even though liposuction can be done, we rely upon your skin to snap back for an ideal contour with a history of stretch marks. This can be unpredictable. Therefore, I think you would get the best results with a horizontal tummy tuck or abdominoplasty. The abdominoplasty takes about 3 to 4 hours to perform. It includes muscle plication, a recreation of the belly button, lifting and reducing the pubic region, and eliminating excess skin and fat in the abdomen. If you have any more questions regarding a tummy tuck, lower body lift, 360 circumferential lower body lift, belt lipectomy, belt abdominoplasty, or belt dermolipectomy please contact my office. Since the body lift is a big procedure, please seek an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon with significant experience performing the lower body lift. Do your research. Make sure they have performed at least 100 tummy tuck or circumferential lower body lift surgeries and have the before and after pictures to prove it. Carefully examine their before and after pictures and check their reviews on RealSelf. If you cannot find an experienced, tummy tuck or lower body lift surgeon in your neighborhood, consider traveling out of state if you must. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Hello @Krysti95, thank you for your question, The area can be seen as having very little excess of skin in it. You can try having a laser Liposculpture and Jay plasma to help improve the area. For more information and recommendations, it is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
Dear Krysti95, thanks for sharing your concern. After analize your case, you look like a good candidate for just liposuction and maybe a mini tt due to skin excess to be discuss after in person consultation. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.
Thank you for your questions and photos. A tummy tuck will address excess skin & repair of the abdominal muscle. The abdominal wall can be weakened after pregnancy and (or) significant weight gain & loss. By repairing the muscle, not only does the appearance of your abdominal area improve, but your core strength as well. The repair of the muscle will cinch your waist like an inner corset, which will accentuate your curves. Liposuction will remove excess fat from unwanted areas with some skin retraction. Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. I suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the options that best address your goals. Best of luck! Dhaval Patel MD Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Chicago South Barrington Oakbrook Orland Park
Your photo doesn't show a lot of excess fat but you do have loose skin in the lower abdomen. A mini tummy tuck is the best choice, with lipo for contouring the upper abdomen and waistline if needed.
You would probably do well with liposuction to your upper abdomen and a min tuck. You could see improvements with just liposuction, but you might have more excess lower skin.
Pregnancy after a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) can potentially impact the results of the procedure, especially in terms of the muscle repair. While a tummy tuck is not specifically designed to address the changes that occur during pregnancy, the abdominal muscles and skin can be affected by the...
Dear daisystew21,From what I can see in your photographs, you have post partum striae gravidarum - these are stretch marks from pregnancy. The shape of your belly button and the indentation above it show that you have split muscles from your two pregnancies. The bump you describe in your lower...
Just based on your photos, I suspect you have a fair amount of internal fat. However, liposuction could remove excess external abdominal fat and a mini tuck could remove the excess lower skin. Weight loss will decrease the internal fat.
