After graduating as the Valedictorian (Summa Cum Laude) of his class at Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, Dr. Mehta continued his studies at Albany Medical College, earning his Medical Doctor degree. He is a proud member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society which is only given to the top students at each medical school.

Dr. Mehta then attended a prestigious 6-year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency program at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. He was appointed Chief of Education from 2020-2021. Dr. Mehta has published close to 20 research papers and serves as a reviewer for plastic surgery journals.

Dr. Mehta chose to become a surgeon because he wanted to be able to make an immediate difference in people’s lives and be able to deliver the transformation they deserve. Dr. Mehta has an interest in fitness and nutrition. In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing basketball, football and tennis. He is fluent in both English and Hindi.
